WELCOME TO THE LIPSI COLLECTION
Take an outing to discover the lifework of two artists from Paris at "im Tobel", Hadlikon, Hinwil
MORICE LIPSI AND HILDEGARD WEBER-LIPSI
The LIPSI Collection displays since 2018 the French estate from the Paris studio of sculptor Morice Lipsi, including sculptures, sketches, drawings and tools, as well as the contents of Hildegard Weber-Lipsi’s studio in Goldbach-Küsnacht by Lake Zurich: oil paintings, watercolours, drawings and stick puppets.
Sculpture, 1951
limestone, 44.5×25×16.5 cm
After the death of both artists, the Lipsi collection went its own way: the heirs brought the entire contents of Lipsi’s studio from Chevilly-Larue to Rosey (Haute-Saône), where in 1990 the Musée Morice Lipsi was opened under the patronage of culture minister Jack Lang. The collection is now part of Switzerland’s museum landscape.
